Rebecca Thompson, Ph.D., M.F.A., is a nationally recognized public artist and a biophilic arts and design health researcher. Her expertise is large-scale, site-specific commemorations and monumental works incorporating natural and reclaimed materials. Dr. Thompson holds an MFA in sculpture from Cornell University and a Ph.D. in Applied Intercultural Arts Research from the University of Arizona. Her research explores biophilic art and design as a viable cross-cultural strategy for improving individual health and wellbeing. Her research projects positively impact communities and the built environment. Dr. Thompson has published nationally recognized profiles on health-related stories, and her inspirational work can be viewed on university campuses, public sites, and private collections nationwide.
