Fall 2026 Open Enrollment for Student Healthcare Options
The University of Arizona offers several healthcare options to meet the diverse needs of its students during the fall 2026 semester. Students can access care at Campus Health under the Student Discounted Rate, their own insurance, or by electing either CampusCare or the Student Health Insurance Plan.
- Important: Students who are currently enrolled in the Student Health Insurance Plan or CampusCare for the spring/summer 2026 coverage period will be automatically re-enrolled for fall semester coverage. Automatic re-enrollment occurs within three business days of a student's registration for fall courses.
- The University of Arizona requires all international students on non-immigrant visas (degree- and non-degree-seeking, resident, or non-resident tuition) to be enrolled in the Student Health Insurance Plan unless they qualify for an exemption. International students should not cancel their coverage through the UAccess Student Center. Exemption requests must be submitted by the open enrollment deadline.
- Newly appointed graduate assistants/associates (GA, TA, RA), or those who missed the previous enrollment period, must actively enroll to receive the Student Health Insurance Plan benefit.
- All email notifications will be sent directly to students’ official University of Arizona email address (@arizona.edu), in compliance with university policy.
Sept. 8, 2026 is the last day for Fall Student Healthcare Open Enrollment. This is the final date to add, cancel or make changes to coverage. Certain qualifying life events may allow for enrollment outside of the open enrollment period, providing arrangements are made within 30 days of the qualifying life event date. Student Health Insurance Plan: This is a major medical insurance policy administered by UnitedHealthcare Student Resources (UHCSR). Coverage extends nationwide and includes an emergency benefit worldwide. Fall coverage runs from August 16, 2026, through December 31, 2026.
CampusCare: CampusCare may be ideal for a student with a health plan that has a high deductible or limited coverage, such as Kaiser Permanente. CampusCare is exclusively for services at Campus Health and is not health insurance. Fall coverage is from August 16, 2026, through December 31, 2026.
Commercial Health Insurance Plans: Campus Health participates with most UnitedHealthcare, Aetna, Cigna, and Blue Cross/Blue Shield plans for primary care services.
